Vanessa Da Costa is a professional with over 5 years of public health experience including 4 years working globally in Rwanda and South Africa.
She got her Bachelors in Psychology and minor in African Studies at University of Carolina at Chapel Hill. Then she went to go work as a research assistant for Duke University. Then she went on to work at the Peace Corps in Rwanda as a Community Health Specialist. We talk extensively about her experience in the Peace Corps and how that got her more interested in her career services business she would come up in the future.
Vanessa then went on to get her Master of Public Health at Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in the concentration of Global Epidemiology. After graduating, Vanessa was able to get a Global Epidemiology Fellow for the Centers For Disease Control (now called the PHI/CDC Fellowship).
Vanessa went on to start her business, Chilombo Global Career Services, LLC where she offers various career services for public health and other related professionals. She currently also works as a Data Analysis Advisor for USAID.
