Episode 79 of Public Health Careers

Zoila Reyna, MPH is the CEO of Public Health Hired. She also works as a Senior Consultant at a Large West Coast Health Care organization. She has over 15 years of experience in program management, strategic planning, change management, policy initiatives and implementing interventions for high-risk populations.

She got her Bachelors Degree in Psychology at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). During her time there she was a Supervisor for UCLA. After graduating, she became a Tobacco Program Coordinator at the American Lung Association through an ad on Craigslist.

Zoila then decided to get her Master of Public Health at University California, Davis.

Zoila then went on to become a Outreach Worker and Program Evaluator for Winters Healthcare Foundation. Then a Youth Advocate at Terra Nova Counseling and then onto a Health Program Specialist I at California Department of Public Health. Then was a Bilingual Research Interviewer at RAND Corporation.

She then returned to American Lung Association in California as a Community Engagement Director. During her time here, she was promoted into position as the State Director for Health Education in California. Zoila then went on to work as a Contracted Behavior Consultant at Kedren Community Health Center, Inc. Zoila currently works as a Senior Consultant of Strategic Planning Community Health at a Large West Coast Health Care Organization.

Zoila is also the Founder and CEO of Public Health Hired where she mentors public health professionals to land their dream job.
