Eduardo Ruiz is the Chief Information Officer at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), where he leads enterprise technology strategy, cybersecurity, data modernization, and digital transformation supporting academic public health around the world.
With more than 25 years of technology leadership experience, Eduardo has helped shape ASPPH’s Artificial Intelligence Framework: Harnessing Innovation for Academic Public Health, a roadmap for responsibly integrating AI across public health education, research, and practice. His work focuses on helping organizations embrace technological innovation while maintaining human oversight, ethics, trust, and accountability.
Eduardo earned his Bachelor of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland. He began his career as a laboratory technician at the National Cancer Institute before making the transition into technology and ultimately technology leadership.
