Nicholas Alford, DrPH, MPH currently serves as a Public Sector Consultant at North Highland, where he supports public health and human services initiatives and helps organizations translate research and strategy into action.

He is a public health consultant, researcher, and health equity leader whose work spans community engagement, strategic planning, evaluation, healthcare policy, and men’s health equity.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Studies with a focus on Management and Marketing from the University of Louisiana Monroe. He later completed both a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management and a Doctor of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences at Florida A&M University.

Nicholas began his career in healthcare operations as an ER Patient Access Associate and later Patient Access Trainer at North Oaks Health System. He also gained experience in grant management at St. Francis Medical Center before moving more deeply into public health and policy.

His career has since included roles with Florida Health and the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, where he worked across public health data, Medicaid policy, evaluation, and statewide health improvement planning. He eventually progressed from Senior Program Analyst to Section Administrator at Florida Health before transitioning into public sector consulting.

Across these experiences, Nicholas has built a career connecting research, policy, systems change, and community voice, with a particular interest in improving preventive healthcare utilization and health outcomes among men.
