About Health Whiz

Health Whiz is a card game that aims to simplify and gamify complex health and public health concepts for broad audience understanding.

The game is carefully crafted to deepen understanding of health and public health topics through a trivia style game spanning six categories. The categories include: Organizations & Influencers; Body Battles & Bugs; Planet & Plate; Mind & Body Wellness; Prevent & Cure; Public Health 101.

This game was created for the need to engage non-public health folks with terms that are important to understand. After doing their Master of Public Health programs together at George Washington University (GWU), they were later inspired to make the Health Whiz.

Tobi Dare’s story

Tobi conferred a Bachelor’s in International Relations from Syracuse University. She later earned a Master of Public Health in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring, & Evaluation at GWU.

She held internships with WI-HER and American Red Cross. And Tobi also led key roles at the CDC, Ariadne Labs, Chemonics, and most recently National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC).

Tosin Ogunsola’s story

Tosin conferred her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Montclair State University. Then went on to get a Master of Public Health in Global Environmental Health at GWU.

She held roles as a Research roles at The Climate Media Lab and The Virginia Department of Health. Her last role before working full-time on Health Whiz was as an epidemiologist at the Virginia Department of Health.
