Dr. Porter is the Chief of Staff of de Beaumont Foundation and Principal Investigator for MADE for Health Justice initiative.

She is a public health leader, strategist, and researcher with 20 years of experience in transforming the systems, environments, and policies that shape health outcomes. Her public health career has focused on injury prevention, the root causes of health inequities, data and transportation justice, policy evaluation, and community power-building.

She conferred a Bachelors of Arts in Communication, minor in health policy & administration from Wake Forest University. Then a Master of Public Health in Community Based Health in Mercer University School of Medicine.

Followed by a Doctor of Public Health in Health Policy and Management at the University of Georgia.

She later became a Doctoral Resident, Health Impact Assessment at the Georgia Health Policy Center. And had additional training through the Policy Surveillance & Legal Epidemiology at Temple University and the Principles and Practice of Injury Prevention at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Porter was then held roles as a Program Coordinator at Project Bokonon, Inc. in Benin, West Africa and a Health Education & Media Specialist role at MAXIMUS.

She then worked as Communications and Professional Development Coordinator at Safe States Alliance before getting promoted to Director of Programs and Evaluation.

In her most previous role, she was the Director of Resilient Communities at the Big Cities Health Coalition.

She currently is Chief of Staff & Principal Investigator, MADE for Health Justice at the de Beaumont Foundation.
