The Public Health Millennial (TPHM) is proud to announce the onboarding of six dynamic new interns who will play a key role in advancing digital public health content and community engagement. These early-career professionals bring diverse perspectives, energy, and creativity to the TPHM mission of transforming public health through accessible, impactful storytelling.
This new cohort of interns will support TPHM through blog writing, podcast production, short-form video creation, community-building, and event hosting. Each intern holds a specialized leadership role designed to strengthen their skills while advancing TPHM’s mission of transforming public health through media, creativity, and real talk.
Meet the Team:

Alla Rahama – Writing & Creative Projects Lead
Alla brings a unique lens to public health storytelling, focusing on the intersection of health equity and cultural narratives. As the Writing & Creative Projects Lead, she will drive the planning and execution of monthly virtual events, contribute blog articles that unpack the structural and political determinants of health, and help document learnings across initiatives. Alla’s creativity and leadership will help shape both the voice and visual storytelling at TPHM.

Olivia Rae Hare – Social Media & Engagement Lead
Better known as “Liv,” she brings vibrant energy towards our digital community-building. As Social Media & Engagement Lead, Liv will spearhead engagement strategies across platforms like LinkedIn and YouTube. Her work will include creating interactive content, hosting student-centered virtual events, and promoting podcast episodes and blog articles. Liv’s goal is to make public health feel relatable, engaging, and relevant in everyday online spaces.

Annie Gowlovech, MPH – Writing & Community Lead
Annie is a thoughtful writer with a strong focus on infectious diseases and health equity. She will lead TPHM’s Book Club initiative, highlighting impactful books that reflect on the human side of public health. In addition to coordinating discussions and resources, Annie will contribute blog articles that explore public health themes, especially those rooted in the viral underclass through a health equity lens.

Tatyana Padro Miguel, MPH – Podcast Lead
Tatyana leads the podcast strategy with both vision and precision. She’ll oversee the planning and production of the Public Health Careers podcast and help launch new podcast series that dive into unique public health topics – from history to modern health movements. Tatyana will also develop social and blog content tied to each episode and collaborate with the media team to expand TPHM’s audio and video presence.

Saratu Zalanga – Podcast & Writing Support + Comms Strategy
Saratu combines a communications strategist’s mindset with a passion for public health justice. She will support podcast production, revitalize older episodes with updated visuals, and transform long-form content into short-form gems for broader reach. Saratu will also begin contributing blog articles exploring themes like immigration, healthcare access, and civic engagement – all while helping drive thoughtful podcast-related events and projects.
This cohort will support a wide range of digital engagement initiatives – from authoring compelling blog articles and producing podcast and short-form video content to hosting community events and driving conversations in the public health space.
