Episode 39 of Public Health Careers

Today we have a public health professional with over 10 years of proven experience in planning and implementing community health programs, fundraising and corporate social responsibility in the healthcare and non-profit sectors.

She has her Bachelors of Science in Health Education with a concentration in public health from Montclair State University. Senior year she got introduced to CHES from her professor and now mentor, Dr. Thorp and thus she later took the exam. She has worked as a youth service worker, health communication & promotion intern for Union County, New Jersey before getting her Masters.

Marline’s has received her Master Degree in communication & information studies with a focus in health communities from Rutgers University. She then worked for Union County New Jersey in various roles before recently switching into her current role as a Community Engagement Manager for a startup tech company called NowPow.

Marline is also a SoMe Ambassador for the Society for Public Health Education and is the New Jersey Ambassador for Black Ladies in Public Health Chair.

Most recently Marline has gotten accepted into Howard University for a PhD in Culture, Communications & Media Studies.
