Lisa has been involved in public health and health care for a long time and shares invaluable insights through her career journey and experiences.

Lisa began her undergraduate career around 8 years after high school after being in the workforce. She got her Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from Penn State University. She was a Diversity Scholar Legislative Fellow during her undergraduate which truly contributed to her development and network building.

After she graduated she became a Manager of Government Relations at the American Diabetes Association. She walks us through an in depth strategy that she and her team used to get some important legislation passed around diabetes prevention within an 18 month legislative time period.

Lisa then went on to become a Program Officer at the Greater Harrisburg Community Foundation. After thinking deeply about the transition, Lisa dove head first into working as Director for Ryan White & Title 10 Programs at Hamilton Health Center. A grant which she helped bring the funding in for, even prior to working at Hamilton Health Center.

She then went on to pursue her Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University. After this she was an Adjunct Professor at Northern Kentucky University – she talks about the struggle of being unfairly paid and unfair treatment.

Lisa was the Chief Transformation Consultant at V-formation before going on to also become an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University College of Public Health where she assist with case studies and other learnings for the College.

Last but surely not least, Lisa has founded and started More Inclusive Healthcare where they provide dynamic, transformative, best-in-class equity trainings that leads to culturally responsive healthcare. Listen to Lisa talks about how grew her love for data equity for health systems. And also how she knew she had proof of concept for her organization and what they are doing to bring about better health outcomes by using data more inclusively.
