Episode 29 of Public Health Careers
Jaennika James, MPH (maiden name Aniag) shares her public health journey in health care administration. Jaennika helps millennial women in health care administration find fulfillment in their careers.
She got her associates at Dominican University of California in biology before transferring to Santa Clara University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Jaennika held several roles in undergraduate such as Research Assistant at Santa Clara University and as a Youth Empowerment Program Director.
She then went on to get her Master of Public Health at San Francisco State University. She was a outreach coordinator at Fresno Health Communities Access Partners and a Research Intern at Minority Training Program. Jaennika secured a Equitable Care Health Outcomes Masters level intern at a large West Coast Health System. She was then accepted into the health system’s inaugural Health Administration Fellowship. This fellowship changed her career pathway from wanting to go into medical school to wanting to continue to become a health care leader.
She was then a Senior Consultant for the same health system before moving into roles at Manager Administrative Services and her current role as Manager Health Education.
