Stephanie Parenti, MPH, an Epidemiologist at New York State Department of Health. She is someone who is passionate about infectious disease, One Health, biosecurity, sexual & reproductive health, and public health surveillance.

Stephanie had a job as a Youth Health Promoter and Peer Educator or better known to her classmates at the time “condom girl” for Planned Parenthood of Mid-Hudson Valley. She then went on to get her bachelors degree in Psychology at Marist College.

During her time in undergraduate, Stephanie had many roles. These included Intern at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center, and Epidemiology Intern at Orange County Department of Health, a Public Health Intern at Planned Parenthood of Mid-Hudson Valley, a Team Lead at Teavana, and a Health Educator & Outreach Specialist at…

Stephanie then decided to get her Master of Public Health at CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. During her MPH, she was a Trauma Registrar at Orange Regional Medical Center and a Population Health Specialist at HealtheConnections.

Stephanie then moved into a role as a Public Health Representative- Disease Intervention Specialist at New York State Department of Health. She was then promoted into her current position as an Epidemiologist at the NY State Department of Health.
