Brooke Mootry, MSW, CHES, the CEO and Lead Recruiter at The Public Health Network chats about her public health career. She has over 17 years of practical experience and currently aside from being the CEO of The Public Health Network, she is a State HIV Prevention Manager for the Georgia Department of Health.
Brooke got her Bachelors of Science in Public Health at Florida State University after switching from being a Biology major. She then went onto to get serious in her photography passion and got a Digital Photography Certificate from Emory University.
She then went on to get her Master of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University. She was then a Program Manager at Broward County Health Department.
Brooke then transitioned to another state and started working for the Georgia Department of Public Health as a State Adolescent Health Coordinator. She then got promoted into State HIV Prevention Manager. Brooke got her Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification to be more competitive in the public health field.
Brooke has started and is the CEO/Founder of the The Public Health Network in the fall of 2019. This is a full service firm that specializes in recruitment and development of public health professionals. The goal is to help public health professionals look forward to Mondays.
