In this week’s episode, Dr. Antraneise Jackson, DrPH, MPH shares her journey. She has recently started as a Social Science Research Analyst for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services within Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation. She is an active Public Health Professional working to improve the health of communities through her work within the public health field and her passion for exploring ways to develop and improve processes within the public health field through various avenues.
She got her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration at Keiser University – Tallahassee. She began her leadership journey as a Customer Services Representative at the Iconic Group Inc where she was subsequently promoted to Custer Services Assistant Manager then Customer Services Manager.
Antraneise then went on to get her Master of Public Health at Florida State University. During her time here she worked as a Government Analyst II at Florida Health before switching over to Government Analyst for Florida Medicaid. She was also the President of FSU’s Public Health Student Association and worked as a Health Educator Intern at Angels of Grace Community Wellness Center and then as a Community Outreach Coordinator. She won the Congressman Jason and Kelly Altmire Endowment Award for her dedication to community engaged public health work during her MPH.
She then got her Doctor of Public Health at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). During her DrPH, she worked in many roles for the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHC) including Government Analyst II, Senior Management Analyst Supervisor – Quality Review Unit, AHC Administrator – Clinical-Compliance Monitoring Section, and as an AHC Administrator – Managed Care Policy and Contract Development Section. Antraneise was also a DEI Council for Shared Governance Member at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care and an Advisory Council Member at North Florida Medical Center.
She worked as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Florida Department of Children and Families before coming across a dream role which she currently is the Social Science Research Analyst for the Center for medicare and Medicaid Services within Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
