Interview with Megan N. Freeland, PharmD

Megan N. Freeland, PharmD is a Health Content Strategist & Health Content Writing Coach through her business, StockRose Creative LLC, which she has been doing for over 5 years. Her mission is to fight health misinformation online through 2 pathways. 1: Through StockRose Creative, LLC, shecreate culturally-relevant content strategy for venture-backed digital health companies, particular those focused on improving the health and wellness of Black communities. And 2, she runs the Health Professionals to Health Writers 4-Month Accelerator. This coaching program teaches pharmacists how to replace a portion of their pharmacist salary with freelance health content writing
Megan got her Bachelors degree in Spanish from Emory University. During her time she began freelancing as a Medical Writer & Health Content Writer. She is on the Health Education and Training Committee at Feminist Women’s Health Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Megan then went on to get her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) at Mercer University, however came up against many obstacles as she did not aspire for a traditional Pharmacy job, but rather one that intertwined deeply with public health. Through her work during her PharmD, she was awarded the Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Practice Award from US Public Health Service.
After graduating from her PharmD, she was able to get a Regulatory Pharmaceutical Fellowship in Drug Information at Purdue University and Janssen Scientific Affairs LLC. Megan, then went on to become an ORISE Fellow in Health Communication. She then transitioned to work as a contractor at CDC via a Regulatory Affairs Specialist Position at Chenega Corporation.
Megan now runs her StockRose Creative, LLC where she is a Health Content Strategist & Health Content Writing Coach. She runs a 2 month accelerator for those health professionals interested in becoming writers. while also creating culturally-relevant content strategy for venture-backed digital health companies.
