In today’s episode, Asyria Daniels is a Program Coordinator at The Center for Black Health & Equity. She is a public health advocate dedicated to improving health and racial equity throughout community engagements, multi-sector partnerships, and research.

Asyria got her bachelors of science in health and human performance, exercise science at The Citadel while also being a NCAA D1 Athlete. During her time here she was Captain of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, an Occupation Therapy Intern at Wounded Warrior Transition Battalion, a student intern at Citadel Strength ant Conditioning.

After graduating, Asyria was a Operations Intern at Growing Leaders, Inc, an Assistant Coach at Oglethorpe University, and a Management Trainee at Enterprise Holdings.

She then went to get her Master of Public Health at Georgia State University. While there she was a Development Intern at AID Atlanta, a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University, a Patient Rep/Medical Operations Assistant at Gwinnett Clinic, and also was a part of an Implicit Bias in Public Health Practice at Region V Public Health Training Center.

After graduating from her MPH, she worked as a Public Health Association at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention before moving into her current role as Program Coordinator at The Center for Black Health & Equity.
