Melina R. Bowdwin, MPH is the Manager of Accreditation Policy at the National Committee for Quality Assurance or NCQA. Melina is a a writer, healthcare quality professional as well as a public health policy expert. She writes for her website MelinaRenee.com.

Melina started her Bachelors of Science at University of Buffalo where she was first a pre-medicine, and pharmacology major, before finishing as a Nuclear Medicine Technology degree. During her time in undergraduate, she was a Campus Health Educator at the University of Buffalo.

She graduated and began her Master of Public Health (MPH) at University of Buffalo while also being a RA, and worked in two Nuclear Medicine Technologist positions at Winding Radiology Group PC and WNY MRI.

After graduating with her MPH, she became a Program Assistant at Stony Brook Medicine. Melina then transitioned into a Senior Data Analyst role at IPRO. She subsequently got promoted in Project Manger for Managed Care and then an Assistant Director for Managed Care roles at IPRO.

She is also a Mentor for the Envision Mentoring Program at the University of Buffalo and is a Steering Committee Member. Melina currently works as a Manager of Accreditation Policy at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)

In 2017, Melina started blogging about travel, health, self-development, and whatever other thoughts on her website: MelinaRenee.com. She hopes to write more into relation to behavioral sciences in the near future.
