Tim Leshan, MPA is Chief External Relations & Advocacy Officer at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH).

He is a seasoned government affairs strategist and public policy expert with over 25 years of experience influencing public health, biomedical research, and higher education policy.

He conferred a BA in English and History at Vassar College and an MPA in Public Administration at UNC Chapel Hill.

Tim worked as Assistant to the Director at Duke University Office of Government Relations before then moving into a role as Project Coordinator at Harvard Kennedy School, Information Infrastructure Project.

He later worked in roles as Director of Public Policy at American Society for Cell Biology followed by Branch Chief/Senior Policy Analyst at National Human Genome Research Institute (NIH), Director of Government Relations at Brown University.

Tim was then hired into a role as Vice President for Government Relations, and later Vice Provost for Research Government Affairs at Northeastern University.

He currently works as Chief External Relations & Advocacy Officer at ASPPH.
