Why The Public Health Millennial?
Like many, I stumbled into public health. In 2017, while aiming for medical school, I began my MPH — and was struck by the systemic inequities driving poor health outcomes. Learning the tools to address these challenges changed my career path forever.
But I also saw a gap: there were few practical resources to help early-career professionals navigate and succeed. I built The Public Health Millennial to share what I wish I’d known — from landing fellowships to securing “under-qualified” positions — and to build a stronger, more connected public health community.
Today, I continue to create resources, tell stories, and advocate for equitable health outcomes for Black and marginalized communities.
