Dr. Marissa Robinson, DrPH, MPH, RPCV is the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative Coordinator at the US Department of Health and Human Services. She is a highly motivated international public health innovator.
Prior to her collegiate experience, Marissa was a Student Ambassador for People to People Ambassador Program where she traveled to England, Ireland, and Wales, she was also a Research Intern at Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and a Student Leader for Appalachian Service Project.
Marissa conferred a Bachelor in Psychology with Public Health concentration at Spelman College. During her time here she had numerous roles. These included
After graduating, she went on to become a Research Assistant at John Hopkins School of Medicine, then worked as a Community Health & Malaria Prevention (CHAMP) Volunteer at Peace Corps in Togo, and as a Public Health Analyst – SIMS Coordinator at Health Resources and Services Administration.
Marissa then pursued a Master of Public Health in global health at Emory University. During her time here she worked as a Public Health Informatics Graduate Research Assistant DGHT at CDC and as a Programs Intern at CDC Foundation.
She continued her education to get a Doctor of Public Health degree in Epidemiology at Morgan State University. Where she works as a Pre-Doctoral Clinical Research Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Marissa is an advocate for increasing diversity in infectious disease and currently works as Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative Coordinator at the US Department of Health and Human Services.
