Dr. Laura Keyser is the Co-Founder of Mama, LLC where they partner with humanitarian and professional organizations, educational institutions, and for-profit entities to meet maternal and women’s health needs.
She got her Bachelor’s in Biology from University of Mary Washington. She then went on to get her Master of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at University of California, San Francisco.
She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including Pediatric & Adult Critical Care at UC San Francisco and later at Shands Medical Center at UF. Later, she transitioned to Outpatient Women’s Health & Orthopedics, working at John Hopkins Hospital and Metta Integrative Wellness Center.
Her US-based clinical work has always been interspersed with field work in global health. She served as the Rehabilitation Program Manager for Global Strategies, working in the Democratic Republic of Congo and India between 2009-2013. Following this, Laura served as a consultant for the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, EngenderHealth, Fistula Care Plus, and USAID, working in multiple countries in Africa.
Laura completed a Master of Public Health at John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2016. She then went on to co-found Mama, LLC, an organization that partners with humanitarian and professional organizations, educational institutions and for-profit entities to meet maternal and women’s health needs. Additionally, Laura works as a Senior Manager of Medical Affairs at Renovia Inc.
