Dr. Heather Krasna, PhD, MS, EdM is the Assistant Dean and Director, Career Services at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, works as a freelance nonprofit career coach through Jobs That Matter, and is the co-author of 101+ Careers in Public Health 3rd Edition.
She got her Bachelors Degree in Anthropolgy at the University of Michigan. Then went on to her Master of Science in Nonprofit Management at The New School where she also got a certificate in Organizational Development. Heather also received a Certificate in Adult Career Planning & Development at NYU and had participated in a Dale Carnegie Training.
Heather then moved on to complete her Masters of Education Degree in Adult Learning and Leadership at Teachers College of Columbia University. She then founder of Career Counseling Creatives and worked as an Instructor at The New School. Heather then transitioned into the Internship Coordinator/Assistant Director at Baruch College, CUNY.
She then transitioned into the role as Director of Career Services at Evans School of Public Affairs. And then was a Talent Acquisition Specialist at ACLU. She then became the Director of Career Services/Nonprofit Career Coach/Outplacement Coach/Career Strategist at Nonprofit Professionals Advisory Group.
Heather then started doing work for herself under ‘Jobs That Matter’ where she did Freelance Nonprofit Career Coaching, Professional Blogger, Syndicated Article Writer, and a Keynote Speaker.
Heather currently works as Assistant Dean and Director of Career Services at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. And more recently, Heather completed her PhD in Public Health at Maastricht University in The Netherlands. She is the co-author of 101+ Careers in Public Health 3rd Edition – Public Health Guide for the Public Health Field.
