Sally Yue Lin, MPH is a self-employed Career Coach and Consultant. She also works as a Senior Manager with the Policing and Security Branch in the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General with the BC Public Service.
She is someone who has over a decade of experience in public health and public safety policy. She is passionate about creating positive social change through evidence-based and equity-driven practices.
She conferred a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology at McGill University. Sally’s professional experience began with an internship at the Association for India’s Development, where she worked on a dietary survey project with mothers in rural villages in Tamil Nadu. She also interned at the IInstitute for Health and Social Policy at McGil focusing on a health economics project.
After completing her undergraduste studies, Sally worked as a Program Coordinator at The University of British Columbia, where she coordinated a medical elective for family medicine residents and assisted with community-based participatory research programs.
While pursuing her Master’s of Public Health at The University of British Columbia, she served as a Student Public Health Officer at the Public Health Agency of Canada of Canada and held various roles at UBC, including Program Coordinator, Peer Tutor, and Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Post-graduation, Sally became a self-employed Public Health Consultant and later held multiple positions at the University of Victoria, starting as a Program Manager and advancing to Administrative Coordinator and Health Research Officer.
She then joined BC Public Service as a Policy Analyst in the Population and Public Health Branch, where she received several promotions: Director of Policy at the Gender Equity Office, Senior Policy Analyst in the Policing and Public Safety Modernization Unit, Manager of Policy and Legislation, and most recently, Senior Manager.
