Today we have co-founders of Parasol Health Consulting – Dr. Ranelle L. Brew & Diana Yassanye – coming on to share their stories.
Parasol Health Consulting aims to create better health and public health programs under the umbrella of science and strategy. They cover public health needs through design, education, strategy, training, speaking engagements, and partnership development.
Dr. Ranelle Brew has a combined 25+ years of higher education, management, online teaching, research, training, and public health practice experience.
She is the Director of a graduate-level MPH program, while also being a full professor and formerly served as chair of the department.
Dr. Ranelle Brew has served as President for both the Michigan Public Health Association and the Great Lakes Chapter of the Society for Health Education.
She has worked in various roles in academia as well. These include being Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Director of MPH Program, Department Chair and Professor.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education and Promotion at Southern Connecticut State University and then received 3 degrees at Columbia University which include a Master of Arts in Health, a Master of Science, and a Doctor of Education, in Public Health Education & Promotion.
Diana Yassanye began practicing public health 29 years ago. She thrives when providing organizational leadership and partnership coordination.
Diana works full time at Parasol Health Consulting where she focuses on public health strategy, public-private partnerships, and organizational resiliency. Before this she worked over a decade at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in several roles, the last being the Lead for Strategic Partnerships, Immunization Services Division.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development at California State University, Northridge, and her MSeD in Health and Sexual Health Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.
These public health experts joined forces through their collegiate friendship and public health intersections to co-found a health-related consulting firm, Parasol Health Consulting.
