Marissa Leahy, BS is an Infection Control Practitioner at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is an enthusiastic professional who transitioned from traditional public health to health care epidemiology.

She conferred a Bachelors of Science in Public Health at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health. During her time here she worked as a Summer Research Institute Fellow at The Food Trust and as a Drexel Recreation Center Welcome Desk Attendant.

After graduating, she became a Disease Intervention Specialist for the City of Philadelphia, Department of Public Health. While she was here, she got a Phlebotomy Certificate. She then became a Prison Liaison for the City of Philadelphia, Department of Public Health.

Marissa then decided to further her academics by getting an Epidemiology in Public Health Practice Non-Credit Specialization at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health via Coursera.

Marissa currently works as an Infection Control Practitioner at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals.
