Episode 105 of The Public Health Millennial Career Stories Podcast:

Dr. DeLorean Ruffin, DrPH, MPH is a results-driven public health practitioner possessing a diversified background experience from coordinating clinical trials, nonprofit, local, and state health systems sector. She currently works as Director of Quality Assurance at West Oakland Health.

DeLorean got her Bachelors of Sciences in Biology at Barry University. During a medical mission trip to Jamaica she came across the concept of community health and thus public health. She then went on to get her Master of Public Health at Argosy University.

Thanks to the network she created, after graduating she worked as a Health Outcomes Manger at Good Samaritan Health Center Atlanta. It was after this when she went on to get her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) at Loma Linda University.

During her DrPH, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at IQVIA which then led in to her role as a Public Health Program Manager at Contra Costa County where she led COVID-19 vaccine clinics, as well as was an Evaluation Manager at Interface Children & Family Services.

Currently, DeLorean works as the Director of Quality Assurance at West Oakland Health.
