Theresa Alphonse, MPH is the Founder & Executive Director for What’s on Your Mind Inc a nonprofit focused on combating the stigma of mental health illness in communities of color by engaging in conversations around thoughts, emotions and feelings. As well as being the Community Partners and Health Equity Program manager at Steward Health Care Network.
She has her Bachelors of Science of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During her time there she was a Campus Coordinator for UMass Amherst. She also interned with Partners in Health’s Haitian branch, Zanmi Lasante.
Theresa then went on to get her Master of Public Health at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in an accelerated program. After graduating she became a Program Coordinator at Boston Public Health Commission where she also received her Community Health Education certificate.
She moved on to become a part-time Health Educator at Harlem Children’s Zone while trying to pursue her passion to become a rapper (we still believe in her). Then Theresa moved on to be a Community Health and Wellness Program manager at Brockton Neighborhood Health Center and was also an Act-so Mentor via the NAACP.
She is currently a Community Partners and Health Equity Program Manager at Steward Health Care Network. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of What’s on Your Mind a non-profit focused on combating the stigma of mental health illness in communities of color by engaging in conversations around thoughts, emotions and feelings. And has also recently started a health equity consulting business.
