Alicia Richins, MES, is currently Program Associate at the MetCalf Foundation in Toronto, Canada. Alicia walks us through her environmental studies journey. She highlights how growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, Oman, going to university in Canada as well as other international positions has informed her global perspectives today.
She talks about her global experiences in El Salvador and Washington D.C. at the Inter-American Development Bank. She then walks us through her struggles of getting a job after graduating from her Masters of Environmental Studies.
She shares tips on importance of networking and interpersonal skills and using a career coach to name a few. As well a sharing the importance of being proactive in your career and having accountability buddies.
