Episode 74 of Public Health Careers

Olivia Umoren, MPH is the Founder and CEO of LIV Consulting & Career Services – a career services business primarily serving students and professionals in public health around all career needs. She also works as a Manger of Federal Affairs of NCQA.

Olivia got her Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences at Penn State University. Throughout her time here she had a two clinical internships and two nutrition internships. She was a NICU Intern at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Nutrition Intern at Perkins School of the Blind, Clinical Intern at Boston Children’s Hospital, and a Nutrition Intern WIC.

After graduating she became a Senior Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also worked as a Community Organizer here. Olivia then moved onto an Outreach Coordinator at Partners for Youth with Disabilities.

Olivia then went on to get Master of Public Health (MPH) at The George Washington University – Milken Institute School of Public Health. During her time here, she was a Nutrition Fellow at Women Advancing Nutrition Dietetics & Agriculture, a Health Policy Fellow at Association of Maternal and Child Health then a Manager of Policy & Government Affairs, and a Graduate Research Assistant at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

After graduating from her MPH, she founded her consulting organization LIV Consulting & Career Services – where they support public health students and aspiring and current public health professionals. In addition, she works as the Manager of Federal Affairs at NCQA.
