Sasha Bernard, MPH, chats about her Public Health Journey. In this episode, Sasha shares why she thinks public health professionals are superheroes. She then goes on to talk about founding her NGO, Bridges To The Heart, which has been running for 7+ years now. Sasha pursued her Master of Public Health at Loma Linda, moving from Trinidad to California for this opportunity.

Sasha shares how she made the most of her Master of Public Health program and how the skills she learnt has help shape and continue to work of Bridges To The Heart. She shares her insights on how she moved to Trinidad after her Master of Public Health and began searching for jobs – after 10 months she was able to find a position as a Business Market Nutritionist at Nestle. Sasha shares her challenges and her she overcame this. As well as how she balances her life and how her different roles play into each other.

With big dreams for her future, Sasha shared great insights for students and professionals thinking about starting a NGO.
