Tyrone Layson, MPH is the Assistant Director of Student Affairs at The University of Toledo. He is a public health professional with almost 10 years of combined experience in higher education, administration, medicine, research, and public health.
Tyrone got his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at The University of Toledo. He then became a Research Assistant at The University of Toledo and then as an In-Patient Pharmacy Technician at The University of Toledo Medical Center where he worked in a variety of settings.
After this, Tyrone was an Instructor at Ross Education LLC where he tutored students and he then went on to become a Clerkship & Curriculum Coordinator for Department of Pediatrics and was certified as a clerkship administrator.
Tyrone then decided to pursue a Master of Public Health in the concentration in Health Promotion & Education at the University of Toledo. After his MPH, he became a Grant Writer/Undergraduate Supervisor at Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
In his current role, he is the Assistant Director of Student Affairs at The University of Toledo.
